- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-5 (a) (6), authorized or required by statue. The Facilities Management Section at the Providence VA Medical Center requires preventive maintenance for the HVAC System located at Eagle Square 2, The Uncas Building - 1st Floor, 623 Atwells Avenue, Providence, RI 02909 for the Eye & Ear Clinic. Under statue 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) the Providence VA Medical Center intends to make a sole source award of this requirement to Ground Forces, LLC, 210 Boston Road, Sutton, MA 01590. Pursuant to FAR 17.206 the Government intends to award this contract for a Base Year period of performance from 10/1/10 through 9/30/11 with One (1) One Year Option Renewal. The proposed contract action is for the necessary preventive maintenance required for the HVAC System for the Eye & Ear Clinic. Ground Forces, LLC is a SDVOSB and has performed these services in the past with experience and the capabilities required. The Government intends to award to only one source Ground Forces, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 (a) (6) and in compliance with VAAR 819,7007 Sole Source Award to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available.
