- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to SAP Government Support and Services, Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation with offices at 3809 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 (hereinafter "SAP GSS"), for a SAP Secure Maintenance. In order to receive SAP Enterprise Support, Licensee (potentially the CDC) shall establish a Customer Center of Expertise ("Customer COE"). The Customer COE is an organizational unit within Licensee's organization covering all Licensee core business process operations that acts as Licensee's central point of contact with SAP's support organization for SAP Enterprise Support. SAP recommends starting the implementation of the Customer COE as a project that runs in parallel with the functional and technical implementation projects. A Customer COE must support each installation covered by the Agreement. If Enterprise Support Solutions are installed in more than one of three regions (EMEA, Americas, Asia/Pacific) a Customer COE may be set-up in each region. Licensee shall maintain the Software Solutions and core business processes in Licensee's SAP Solution Manager Software system at least for the Production Systems. Licensee shall document any implementation or upgrade projects in Licensee's SAP Solution Manager Software system. Justification for other than full and open competition is considered due to the fact that SAP GSS is the sole proprietor of the SAP Secure Maintenance and therefore the substances are proprietary property of SAP Government Support & Services, Inc. Note 22 applies herein. The statutory authority permitting other-than-full-and-open competition is 41 U.S.C., 253(c)(1): FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for informational purposes. This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
