Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Homeland Security is performing "market research" for large and small businesses in preparation for a possible future procurement. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a possible future requirement for transcription and/or stenographer services for designated principals of DHS for events that include, but are not limited to press conferences, speeches, congressional hearings, briefings and panel discussions. These services are required in Washington, D.C. only. Travel will not be reimbursed. DHS is looking for vendors with a minimum of 3 years experience with similar services (press conferences, speeches, congressional hearings, briefings, panel discussions, etc.). Any interested firms should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm's ability to perform the requirements described above. The capability statement shall include past performance information, (i.e. description of services, point of contact information phone number and email addresses). The applicable NAICS Code is 561492 with a size standard of $7.0 million. In the capability statements contractors should provide their size status for the above referenced NAICS code, (i.e. large, small) and whether or not they are a certified hub zone, 8(a), women owned, small disadvantaged and/or disabled veteran owned concerns. The Department of Homeland Security reserves the right to set this action aside for small businesses. Responses to the above should be submitted electronically to Sheri Brooks, Contract Specialist, Department of Homeland Security at sheri.brooks1@dhs.gov no later than 5 days from the date of posting. A separate synopsis will be issued for the Request for Proposal (RFP) resulting from this sources sought synopsis if DHS makes a determination to solicit a contract for this possible requirement.
