- This projectis being announced with procedures set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.1007 that the award is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This procurement is an Emerging Small Business set-asid accordance with FAR Subpart 19.10. The solicitation will be issued on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on Aug 8, 2010. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification on this specific solicitation. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. Solicitation Number: Q1770108214. DESCRIPTI ON OF REQUIREMENT: Consists of the general construction of removing damaged electrical pole, installing new pole and reestablishing electrical service on the new pole. The work will be conducted at Gateway NRA, Staten Island, NY, Miller Field District, directly behind building 26. A site-visit will be scheduled In the solicitation. In accordance with FAR Subpart36.204(a), The price range for this contract is under $25,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is: 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Questions about the solicitation must be submitted in writing via email: Lori_Achkari@nps.gov. The point of contact for this project is Lori A. Achkari at 718-354-4715 or Lori_Achkari@nps.gov. In accordance with FAR 5.102, availability of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. The solicitation will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD ROM. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), the availability of the solicitation will be limited to the Internet. When the solicitation is issued, the address for downloading the solicitation from the Internet is as follows: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. Hard copies (paper sets) of the solicitation will not be provided by the Government. Notification of any change to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Therefore, it is the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site for any posted changes to the solicitation, plans and specifications. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised, failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of contracts. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract award. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system.Award will be made to the responsive responsible contractor based on technical proposal and price. Contractor awarded this contract will need to be listed on the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov and have a current active registration. All information will be posted in the solicitation. The Period of Performance for this project is 30 calendar days from date of award.
