Your response to this Request for Information will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Army in developing its acquisition strategy and Statement of Work/Statement of Objectives and Performance Specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. Description The US Army intends to acquire accessory items to support the military GPS receiver known as the AN/PSN-13A Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) as used in both hand-held mode of operation and installed to a variety of host vehicle platforms. Seventeen (17) different accessories, divided into tiers based on item complexity, will be procured in varying quantities on periodic Call Orders. These items are currently produced in support of ongoing Total Package Fielding and other distributions of DAGR systems. The current estimated quantities to be procured over multiple year contracts ranging from 4,000 to 105,000 each. As requirements change, accessories may be deleted or added to the appropriate Tier category. The timing of Orders and the quantities ordered on each Call Order will be based upon US Army mission requirements to support US fielding and installation of the DAGR military GPS receiver. The US Army intends to solicit and award a five (5) year Firm Fixed Price (FFP), multiple award, Blanket Purchase Agreements to meet the requirement. Each contract will be for the procurement of some combination of accessory Tiers based on vendor qualifications. Tier categories are based on item complexity: Tier 1 for remote antenna w/cable, Tier 2 for battery packs, Tier 3 for molded / fabricated metal items, Tier 4 for cable/connector sets and Tier 5 for Crypto-graphic Key-fill cable. Individual Call Orders will be competed on those contracts for which the applicable Tier items are available.
