- RECOVERY: This notice is provided for informational purposed only. This opportunity is available only to small businesses who sell scientific equipment. This project will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Food and Drug Administration is soliciting for a Gold Palladium target, sputter coater (manually operated, single cabinet design) and carbon evaporation accessory. The system must be a sputter coater for biological specimens; specimen chamber size should be a minimum of 4 inches diameter and 6 inches high; system shall be able to sputter coat and carbon coat in one instrument; system must include gold/palladium target; must include any accessories for carbon evaporation; must have capability to add extra accessories; must be designed for cool sputter coating or precious metals; area requirements shall be not larger than 24 x 22 x 24; 120 volts. This procurement will be firm fixed price and will be competed under simplified acquisition procedures.
