Description
RECOVERY: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to small businesses who sell scientific equipment and supplies. This project will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Food and Drug Administration is soliciting for a Microprocessor controlled large vacuum oven with three shelves, 1.7 cu ft with dry chemical duty vacuum pump hoses and clamps included. The vacuum pump and oven will perform dehydration procedures for biological samples for analysis by X-ray fluorescence. Temperature range” ambient _ 10 degrees C to at least 250 degrees C; Temperature increment and stability – 1 centigrade increments and stability within plus or minus 5%. Must have digital temperature display. Oven chambers must be acid and corrosion resistant. Must be at least 1.5 cubic feet, cross flow ventilation system. Vacuum/Pressure Range must withstand from atmospheric pressure (760 torr) down to 1 torr; must have pressure display on system. Must have footprint equal to or smaller than 30” x 35” Vacuum pump must have operation noise level 60 decibels or less, minimum free air displacement capacity 30 liter/min or more; ultimate pressure 2 torr or less, max vacuum 25 in Hg or more, pump must be oil free and dry, must have vacuum level adjustment valve and knob, resist acid corrosions and organic solvents, footprint must not exceed 15” x 10”. This procurement will be a competitive firm fixed price acquisition.
