Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Audie L. Murphy Memorial Hospital, San Antonio, TX, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Terumo Cardiovascular Systems, for the preventative maintenance of SARNS 8000 Perfusion Systems w/Centrifugal and TCMII's: Modular Base 5 Pump, Modular Pump 115V, Battery, Flow Sensor Delphin Manual Drive, Delphin Battery, Safety Monitor, UAS Air Sensor Cardioplegia Monitor, Arterial Monitor, Centrifugal Console, TCM2 TUV 115V, Continuous Auto-transfusion System and CD1500 Monitoring System - Arterial/Sat monitor and Calibrator. The Contractor shall provide all parts, accessories, software and manuals for the maintenance of these items. NAICS code 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees. The period of performance for this procurement will be 1 October 2010 through 30 September 2011. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, if a firm believes it can meet these requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services, to the Contracting Officer within five calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 15:00 P.M.
