Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 165th Airlift Wing & Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) 23 Jul 2010 Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport/ Travis Field Garden City, Ga. 31408-9001 Base Paging System STATEMENT OF WORK Scope of Work: To install a paging/sound system throughout the 165th Airlift Wing & CRTC at Travis Field, Ga.. The work covered by, but not limited to, these specifications consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all operations to provide, deliver, and install a completely usable paging system that services the 165th Airlift Wing and Combat Readiness Training Center. The Contractor shall complete the project in accordance with these specifications, all applicable codes & regulations, drawings, and is subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The contractor must provide factory-trained personnel to perform system design, installation, testing, training, and maintenance. Each proposal shall include, at a minimum, all equipment, installation, training, on-site performance and system testing, complete documentation (including product assembly drawings, operation manuals and wiring diagrams) in both hard copy and electronic format with enough detail to support the training of maintenance personnel and support troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance. System Description: 1.Furnish and install a Base Wide public address and alerting system. The system shall be capable of high quality, reliable and satisfactory operation as hereinafter described. The system shall be the product of one manufacturer and an agency experienced in such work. The installation and connection of all equipment and test of the operations of the system shall be made by a representative of the manufacturer or aforementioned agency. Components of the system shall be pre-assembled and pre-wired such that only connections to building wiring system need be made at the site. The system shall be complete with all parts and components necessary for the operation described. The system must be able to operate in all environments, adaptable with minimum modifications to buildings. Adaptable to operate utilizing existing base power voltages; Capability to activate selectively and remotely; capability to provide live audio announcements to entire zones, areas, individual buildings and rooms. Support for an optional on-site service agreement, turn-key system that is an easily expandable modular system. 2.The paging system shall service all interiors of building areas as well as the exterior of the facility. The majority of the existing office area shall require 2X2 drop in type ceiling tile speakers. Said ceiling tiles shall match the existing ceiling tiles. Horns shall be installed in large open interior areas such as warehouse, storage, mechanical rooms and exterior areas.. Weatherproof horns shall be installed on the facility exterior perimeter. Horns shall be installed within the hangar areas so as to provide adequate voice coverage without distortion. If additional speakers or cabling is required, said speakers and wiring shall be installed utilizing contractor provided high reach equipment. The ability to tie-in to existing P.A. systems should not be considered or allowed as the current system (except for the buildings 301 & 302 ) is antiquated and need of complete replacement.. All outdoor terminal units/controllers shall be secured in enclosures. 3.All speakers wiring shall be in accordance with all National Electric Codes as well as all local and Air Force regulations. Maximum number of speakers on each wire run shall not exceed manufacturers guideline for paging distribution. Required amplifiers shall be installed within the parameters of the manufacturer. Paging system shall be completely independent of the existing telephone system. Newer buildings such as BLDG 301 & 302 have newly installed Valcom paging Systems. The Paging system requited for Travis filed can utilize these two existing systems, but must install same equipment type and manufacturer for the remaining buildings. 90% of existing paging is antiquated and will not be used, this statement of work requires a new system installed for the base. The speakers in the newer buildings (301,302 & 305) may be re-utilized if deemed in good condition. Speakers shall be grouped so as to provide voice transmission capability into the following zones for the buildings listed below. a.165AW bldg 302,303,304 (HQ)(SFS) b.165AW bldg 301 (Medical) c.165AW bldg 908 & 910 & 1950,840,841,850, (CE) d.165AW - bldg 955,1905w, 1905e (1st flr), 1923,1924,1930,1907 (Acft MXS) e.165AW bldg 1905(2nd flr), 1914, 1906 (OPS) f.165AW b1404;1925 (LRS) g.165AW b1401 (CF & Services) h.CRTC bldgs 115,117,118,173,194,195,197,262,272,285,302,301,890,901,911,916,917,1410,305 i.CRTC Visiting Units bldgs 113,114,194,196,197,198,199,207,210,220,221,222,223,227,228,230,232,234,262,272,285,287,289,291,295,296,297,298,299,1417, 4.Minimum 8 Zones with All Call (all zones) for base wide emergencies. The newer system in BLDG 301 & 302 can be re-used along with the speakers, but the remaining areas on the base must be of the same equipment and manufacturer that is decided upon. The system in BLDG 301 &302 does not necessarily have to be used, a new equipment manufacturer of choice will suffice as long it provides the zones and coverage listed in this statement of work. All speakers wiring shall be in accordance with all National Electric Codes as well as all local and Air Force regulations. Maximum number of speakers on each wire run shall not exceed manufacturers guideline for paging distribution. Required amplifiers shall be installed within the 2nd floor Tele-Comm. Room and connect to the zone paging system. Paging system shall be completely independent of the existing telephone system. The existing Avaya telephone system may not be used to integrate to new paging system.
