- Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Hughes Creek Culvert Replacement project located on the North Fork Ranger District, Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi County, Idaho. The Base item work includes replacing an existing culvert at the Ditch Creek crossing on Ransack Loop road with a concrete box culvert. This project includes structural excavation, roadway excavation, backfilling, compacting, providing, hauling and placing riprap and crushed aggregate, removing and disposing of existing culvert, and furnishing and installing a 14' span x 6' rise precast concrete box culvert. The optional item includes replacing an existing culvert at the Hughes Creek crossing on the West Fork Hughes creek road with a structural plate arch. This project includes structural excavation, roadway excavation, backfilling, compacting, providing, hauling and placing riprap and crushed aggregate, removing and disposing of existing culvert, and furnishing and installing a structural plate pipe arch. This requirement is being solicited as a Firm-Fixed Price Request for Proposal using negotiated procedures. The approximate start work date will be July of 2011. Offers are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, August 30, 2010. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately July 27, 2010 and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov.. All responsible HubZone certified sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
