- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-10-T-0183 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The NAICS code is 334511.The agency need is for: CLIN 0001: LifeLocatorQuantity: 1 Unit of Issue: Each, DESCRIPTION: Name: LifeLocatorlightweight, portable, and deployable by a single user sensor used in USAR (Urban Search Rescue) operations (weather, fire, or catastrophic attack, avalanches, flash floods, earthquakes, or other natural disasters) involving collapsed structures. Sensor shall be able to detect movment in upt to ten meters of debris and breathing in up to eight meters. Unit does not require line of sight or the complete silence to operate.
