Description
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Question 1: Can we submit our offer on company letterhead and Reps and Certs in our PDF formatted version? Answer 1: Yes Question 2: Is it required that you have the entire solicitation back or just price information for now? Answer 2: I need to have the price information listed by Contract Line Item. I do not need a copy of my entire solicitation back, just the Reps and Certs portion (starting on page 11 of the solicitation). Question 3: Is it required that we bid on product or can we select to bid any of the two products? If not do you intend to make one award for this contract? Answer 3: We will award this contract to one vendor. So in order to win the award, the vendor must submit a bid for each Contract Line Item and the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable bid will be awarded the contract. Question 4: Is the closing date the 30th or the 28th? Answer 4: All quotes are due by Noon on the 30th and the deadline to ask questions concerning the solicitation is Noon on the 28th. Question 5: Will you (NGA) review the technical specifications for a substitute brand and advise on if the proposed brand name equivalent is acceptable? Answer 5: We will not complete a specification comparison prior to the close of the award period. All vendors must complete their own specification comparison on a brand name equivalent using the specifications provided by NGA in the solicitation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-42. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has a requirement for NEC MD213MC Monitor or equivalent substitute and an Apple 30" Cinema Monitor or equivalent substitute. This requirement is being set aside for small businesses and competed solely through the Government Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). The specific requirements and associated contract clauses are included with this synopsis/solicitation and are viewable via attachment #1. Offerors must sign in to the FBO website to view the attachment. An MPIN may also be required. All vendors interested in submitting a quote for consideration should do so, prior to the solicitation closing date of July 30, 2010 by 12:00pm EST, via E-MAIL ONLY to the point of contact(s) listed in this solicitation. Quotes not submitted via e-mail will NOT be evaluated. All submissions should be in accordance with the stipulations set forth below: 1. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes and is set aside for small businesses. Quotes from Other than Small Business (OSB) shall not be considered. 2. Quotes shall be based upon open market pricing. Quote must include pricing for each of the items listed in the solicitation and must include shipping costs in the total price of the items. 3. Award shall be made to the offeror that submits the LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE (LPTA) quote. The technical requirements of the hardware are detailed in attachment #1. BIDDERS MUST ADDRESS EACH ITEM IN THEIR QUOTE THAT WAS ADDRESSED IN THE SOLICITATION, IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE. 4. Submissions should not contain attachments greater than 3MB in size. Such submissions may be excluded. 5. All items shall be delivered to the location referenced in the solicitation in accordance with the delivery schedule cited therein. 6. All questions should be in writing, VIA E-MAIL ONLY directed to Contract Specialist Candace I. Johnson at Candace.I.Johnson@nga.mil. All questions (and their answers) will be posted on the FBO website to provide equal access to information for all potential offerors.
