- This notice is to announce that this NSN will be solicited in the near future. This is not a Solicitation / Request for Proposal. The Solicitation / Request for Proposal will be forth coming and will be available via the DSCC Website address (URL) is http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp/. Solicitation Issue date is on or about 08/16/10, with the Response date on or around 09/20/10. Note: Copies of this solicitation will only be available via the World Wide Web. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The response date referenced above is estimated. Purchase request numbers: 0024300455 & 0024732245, NSN: 6145-00-866-2323, Nomenclature: CABLE, POWER, ELECTRICAL. FIRST ARTICLE TESTING NOT REQUIRED. Bids I/A/W the drawing requirements are acceptable. The details and bid set related to the First Article Testing will be made available with the solicitation through the above mentioned website. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS ITEM DESCRIPTION: CABLE, POWER, ELECTRICAL; 259 STRANDS; 500 FT/REEL, ONE CONTINUOUS LENGTH. TYPE NUMBER: TY W, ROUND, 4 COND, 2/0 AWG.. A Large Purchase Contract with NO option periods is anticipated. Total estimated quantity is 34,500 feet. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. Deliveries will be to various DLA stocking locations. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. "Notice to All Contractors: The Federal Acquisition Regulation was amended to require offerors to submit representations and certifications electronically via the Business Partner Network.
