- Pre-solicitation Notice for remodel and renovation of Bldg 1219 on Fort Carson, Colorado. (Posted 28 July 2010) The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Carson intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the remodel and renovation of Bldg 1219. Work includes construction of offices, conference rooms, and latrines, construction of a new elevator assembly, installation of new foam roofing, and asbestos and lead paint mitigation. The building will be renovated to a LEED certified standard. This requirement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The result of this IFB will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract with an anticipated award date of September 2010. The Government intends to award a single contract. The anticipated issuance date for this IFB is on or about 12 August 2010. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the IFB package. The period of performance is estimated to be a base period only. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236210 with a size standard of $33.5M. This work is considered to be construction work and Davis-Bacon requirements will apply. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov and the Army Acquisition Business Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Interested offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any amendments. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective offerors who would like their company name included on the Bidders Mailing List may do so on the FBO website under the Interested Vendors List tab.
