Description
The Government intends to procure, under only one responsible source, where no other suppliers or service will satisfy the agency requirements. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii is seeking alternate products/sources comparable to the MadahCom Giant Voice Systems, manufactured by MadahCom, Inc., 7565 Commerce Court, Sarasota, Florida 34243. The alternate product/source must meet the following requirements/specifications:1. Complies with UFC 4-021-01 Design and OMN: Mass Notification Systems (MNS) and OSHA 1910.165.2. Functional with the existing exterior radio controlled Base Joint Program Guardian System, i.e., MadahCom WAVES System. 3. The MadahCom WAVES System provides interactive, community notification voice and/or data messages to multiple receivers/transceivers simultaneously inside of a facility and in the immediate area outside a facility via the facility's interior combination fire alarm / mass notification system. 4. This solicitation is to acquire the radio transceiver interface unit (compatible with the Madahcom TRX-401) for integrating the MadahCom WAVES digital signals from the central control unit into the building's interior mass notification system. The transceiver shall be fully-integrated with integral power supply, audio amplifiers, and diversity antennas; and shall be capable of bi-directional communication with the existing base station and other transceiver units within the network. Each transceiver shall have a unique address in the mass notification system network and is software controlled from the base station PC. The transceiver shall provide outputs for two channels of wideband amplified audio, two channels of wideband line-level audio, one full duplex RS 232 data channel, one analog input and three I/O data pins.This should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation. Interested parties with a comparable product meeting the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit complete information and specifications. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information must be clearly marked and will be treated appropriately. Interested parties shall submit information and specifications to Ms. Kimberlee Fujimoto via email at Kimberlee.fujimoto@navy.mil. Interested parties responding to this announcement by Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time will be considered.
