- KETCHUM – FEATHERVILLE ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAY’s, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT This project consists of repair and replacement of several culverts, cleaning and re-establishing the ditches, reconditioning the base of the roadway including establishing a 4% crown, placing fill to raise the grade of the road in short stretches, widening and narrowing the base of the roadway to 26 feet, and placing 4” of compacted gravel mixed with bentonite for surfacing. The gravel will be government supplied and will be stockpiled near the intersection of Road 70227, the Ketchum-Featherville Road, with the Baumgartner Campground Road, #70487. Minor work associated with the project may include but not limited to; minor alignment adjustments and removing the berms that have been built up along the road from years of blading, in some areas the berms will have to be removed by a backhoe, excavator, or a machine with a bucket to pull the material back into the road while not getting any in the river. The project cannot begin until after Labor Day, on September 7, 2010. The work will only be performed between the day after Labor Day until December 2 of each year and from May 1 until the Thursday before Memorial Day of each year.
