- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Elizabeth City, NC intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price purchase order to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and accessories necessary for a complete and operational "turn-key" design and installation of a helicopter paint booth system to include removal of a current helicopter paint booth, two parts painting booths and mezzanine system as necessary. The upgraded system shall support the simultaneous mechanical/pneumatic application of paint and primer of two separate Coast Guard helicopter airframes. The paint booth facility is located at ALC, 1664 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on or about August 10, 2010 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.eps.gov. The RFQ number is HSCG38-10-Q-410027, hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 332312, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. All interested small businesses may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the USCG. The government will award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from the RFQ to the responsible quoter whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered which will be identified in the RFQ. Anticipated date of award is October 28, 2010.
