- This publication serves as notice of intent to purchase services from Mr. Michael South of Jensen Beach, to assist in mangrove-fish research for the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Services, Eastern Region Acquisition Division. The government intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Mr. Michael South. The government intends to issue fixed price contracts under the authority of FAR Part 13, 106-1(b) to continue to assist in mangrove-fish research. The delivery date shall be from date of award thru September 30, 2011. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. However, all responses received within five days after date of publication of this notice may be considered by the government. Responses can be faxed to Sharon Walker at (816) 274-6983 or sent via email to shaorn.walker@noaa.gov. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisitions based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City Office requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register, all offerors must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number.
