Appendix A RFI document THIS REQUEST WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED ON JULY 2, 2010 UNDER NAICS CODE#453998, AND IS BEING POSTED UNDER SEVERAL DIFFERENT NAICS CODES. The Smithsonian Institution (Smithsonian) hereby invites you to submit information for the attached Request for Information (RFI#R10SOL199). The Smithsonian's Smithsonian Enterprises (SE) office and National Museum of American History (NMAH or Museum) are interested in engaging a third party entity to develop, and operate a successful business revenue venture within the Museum's lower level space (Space) that would be related to and enhance the visitors experience at NMAH. The Smithsonian is in the process of evaluating its options for a profitable use of the Museum's Space, and seeks information from experienced and qualified interested parties which will help the Smithsonian decide whether and how to proceed in a subsequent RFP process with participants of the RFI process. Respondents should promptly acknowledge receipt of this Request for Information and advise the Office of Contracting of its intent to submit an informational submission (RFI Submission). Actual RFI Submissions must be received by 2:00P.M., Washington, DC local time on August 19, 2010.
