- 1449 Solicitation Sole SOurce Justification THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for 0001-AA Motorola-manufactured XTssOOO portable LMR; Initial inspection, Factory Mutual recertification, restoration to Motorola factory specifications, and if necessary replacement of battery and antenna. 1,231 EA 0002-AA Motorola-manufactured XTSsOOO portable LMR; A twelve month warranty under a Motorola Radio Service Advantage (RsA) Comprehensive ServiceAgreement. 1,231 EA Period of performance from issuance of purchase order through 180 days This is a Sole Source with Motorola IAW FAR 6.302-1. Motorola is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement to be internally inspected, resealed and tested to insure that is physically meets the rigid requirements to operate safely in a hazardous environment where enough flammable gases or vapors exist, or may be present in the air to produce explosive or ignitable mixtures. Technicians need to be Motorola certified and trained to work on XTS 5000 radios. Motorola is the only company that has the facility accreditation/technical certification to recertify radios to intrinsically safe standards. The business size is 7 Mil. and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of J057 Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Motorola is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
