Description
FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY SOURCES SOUGHT for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses for POTENTIAL ACQUISITION OPPORTUNITY - FLIGHT MEDICINE PHYSICIAN. In an effort to enhance opportunities for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) we are conducting this preliminary market research to gauge the level of interest and capabilities of SDVOSBs with regards to a potential upcoming acquisition for a FLIGHT MEDICINE PHYSICIAN The findings of the preliminary market research will be used in considering a 100% set aside for SDVOSBs. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 621399. The Size Standard is $7 Million. This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY and the Solicitation is not currently available. The Information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), invitation for bid (IFB) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the government as a result of information submitted in response to the sources sought announcement. The government is seeking interest and capability of a flight medicine provider who has completed and graduated from the Residency of Aerospace Medicine Program and/or successfully completed the Aerospace Medicine Primary Course from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, or other DoD Flight Surgeon course, and who is licensed in the United States and can be credentialed to provide preventive medicine services. These services include comprehensive aerospace medicine, occupational medicine, and/or preventive medicine services in the outpatient clinical setting including but are not limited to the primary care management of common adult illnesses and injuries, health risk counseling, pre-placement examinations, fitness for duty examinations, medical management of exposure to environmental toxins, deployment and travel medicine, as well as initial management and transport of decompression illness, and the treatment of clinical complaints associated with hyperbaric and hypobaric chamber activities. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by the respondents to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement. Should a full requirement arise, the full requirement will be detailed in the solicitation. Sources Sought Instructions: A written response with detailed information is requested of those contractors who can provide the services outlined above. A written agreement must be provided to show that the individual is an authorized/certified medical service provider with the above listed credentials. Detailed information shall include the vendor's capability of providing the required services. Responses to this notice are due on or before Tuesday, 3 August 2010, NLT 4:00 pm, eastern standard time. Priority for consideration will be given to service disabled veteran owned small business.
