Description
Q1818100028 Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), the National Park Service intends to enter into negotiations with Acuity-VCT on a sole source, non-competitive basis to provide and install an IP based video surveillance system for the historic Mansion at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, Vermont. Acuity-VCT has a surveillance system that will view, record, archive and control a network of cameras to address specific solutions to deficiencies identified during a security survey. The System will have motion based video analytics. The analytics are a crucial component for the Park as the system will allow park staff to individually arm objects and easily adapt and change the analytics when tour patterns are adjusted to accommodate special events. The analytics will use algorithms to identify repetitive motion patterns to determine true motion from false events. It will provide the object protection the park needs but will eliminate false alarms. The analytics are crucial for an added layer of security for the Park's museum objects. The system has capabilities and capacities which allows for the level of security and flexibility required to protect museum artifacts in an historic structure. It would be in the best interest of the government to have Acuity-ACT provide and install the surveillance system required to accommodate the Park's unique situations and to support the Park's mission. Therefore, in accordance with the above cited authority, the government intends to enter into negotiations with Acuity-ACT within 15 days after publication of this notice. Work on this project will be performed between September 1, 2010 and February 25, 2011. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. NAICS 561621. For information or questions, please respond by email to Contracting Officer at linda_mcfarland@nps.gov.
