- NSN: 5985-00-138-9793 Nomenclature: Switch, Waveguide Purchase request #0026858696. This notice is to announce that this NSN will be solicited in the near future. This is not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. The Solicitation/Request for Proposal will be forth coming and will be available via the DSCC Website address (URL) is http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp/. The response date referenced above is estimated. Issue date is on or about 08/13/2010, with the Response date on or around 09/13/2010. There are currently no approved sources and solicitation will be Full and open with First Article Requirement.This will be a large firm-fixed price contract. Unrestricted, FOB Destination; Inspection/Acceptance shall be ORIGIN. Delivery is 525 days; The basic quantity will be for approximately 66 units each with a Government FAT clin for testing requirements. All offers must quote on the base quantity and FAT clin unless waived. Destination will be for 2 lines to include one line shipped to New Cumberland, PA. 17070-5001 and one line shipped to Tracy, CA 95304-5000; FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. NOTE 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NOTE 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
