- Description
- Work consists of the renovation of Building 8, an insect rearing facility. The purpose of the project is to bring the structure back into usable shape and to make it more energy efficient. The Government will furnish six unassembled walk-in incubator boxes for the contractor to assemble and place outside the structure, and three unassembled walk-in coolers for the contractor to assemble and place inside the structure. The Government will also provide vapor-proof fluorescent light fixtures (one for each box), assembly and installation manual for the boxes, and a roof cover (tarp) for the boxes located outside. The contractor shall make all necessary connections for the incubator boxes to be fully functional. The project also includes roof work; painting; window and door replacement; providing four split system condensing units and evaporators; electrical work; plumbing work; insulation work; providing laboratory casework; and similar work associated with building renovation. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. No hard copy of the solicitation will be issued. Obtain the solicitation from this website.
