- Name Brand Justification Specifications This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number EA133F-10-RQ-1034 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42. This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423610 with a small business size standard of 100 employees or less. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Ecosystems Surveys Branch. Woods Hole, MA requires the following items: Item 0001: Quantity of two (2) each, spools of 1,200 ft of General Cable Co. Product (SKU 82663.99.01) Industrial Grade Super VTron, Type GGC Mining Cable. See attached specification sheet. The sections shall be spooled onto a spool for transport. The product is of a specific strength, diameter (1.34"), and conductor sizes that the clam pump requires and we have used since 1999. In addition, the Contractor shall deliver the product to the vendor that will be coating the product. Address for Vendor: Cortland Cable Inc. 44 River St. Cortland NY 13045 Item 0002: Estimated The required delivery date is January 1, 2011. All quotes shall be FOB Origin to 44 River Street, Cortland, NY 13045. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. For information regarding registration in CCR contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Additionally, each offeror must obtain, and provide with the quote, their nine-digit Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (JUN 2008) applies. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items (JUN 2009) -- Offerors must include a completed copy of its provision with their offer or complete only paragraph (b) of the provision if the offeror has completed the annual representation and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. If an offeror has not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at the ORCA website; the offeror shall complete only paragraphs (c) through (m) of this provision; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (MAR 2009) and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (JUN 2010) applies and the following additional FAR clauses cited in the clause at paragraph (b) are applicable to this acquisition, as such consider the following clauses checked, (8), (12), (18), (19), (20), (21), (22) (30), (33) and (38). Quotes must be submitted to the Eastern Region Acquisition Division, 200 Granby Street, Room 815, Norfolk, Virginia 23510 by 12:00 P.M. August 6, 2010; any award resulting from this RFQ will be made based on price and meeting required delivery date. Quotes must be submitted electronically.
