- Construction Project: Work is to construct a new concrete pier extension, deflector, and new ogee surface with 4 Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) Tag antenna trenches in Spillway Bay 2 at Ice Harbor Dam. The spillway ogee is approximately 50 feet by 100 feet. This work will include (1) removing approx 166 cubic yards of concrete; (2) placing approx. 1200 cubic yards of cast-in-place, reinforced concrete; (3) designing and furnishing a dewatering system to facilitate work in the dry for placement of the pier extension and deflector in water approximately 35 feet deep; (4) installation of Government-furnished PIT Tag detectors; and (5) fabrication of a fiberglass rolling personnel work platform. All onsite work must be completed by March 1, 2011. A 20% bid guarantee is required, and 100% performance and payment bonds are required. Resulting contract will be firm fixed price. Solicitation is 100% set aside for Small Business concerns. NAICS code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $33,500,000 average annual receipts. Estimated magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation No. W912EF-10-B-0012 will be posted to the FBO website on or about August 13, 2010. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date.
