Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS A MARKET RESEARCH TOOL BEING USED TO DETERMINE THE EXISTENCE OF QUALIFIED EXPERIENCED SOURCES AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR AS ANY OBLIGATION OR COMMITMENT ON THE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT TO ACQUIRE ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office, Littoral Mine Warfare (PEO LMW) seeks information as to potential qualified commercial sources with specific experience and expertise to provide for the production of the AN/AQS-20A Sonar, Mine Detecting Set. The AN/AQS-20A Sonar is a build-to-print component of the Organic Airborne Mine Countermeasures (OAMCM) family of systems and is capable of identifying bottom mines, and detecting, localizing, and classifying bottom, close-tethered, and volume mines. The AN/AQS-20A Sonar, Mine Detecting Set's mission is minehunting in direct, organic support of the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and the Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG). Interested sources may provide unclassified information (e.g., specifications, brochures, product descriptions, identification of government contracts for similar products, etc.) and/or may provide a capability summery describing relevant corporation experience, which if provided shall be unclassified and not exceed 20 pages in length. Information provided may or may not be used by the government to verify the respondent's capability of meeting requirements. Responses from interested sources should include the following information: 1) Company name and address, and 2) point of contact information including title, phone number, and email address. All information submitted in response to this sources sought shall be submitted by mail or email no later than 5 P.M., August 13, 2010. Submit information to Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, SEA 0263, ATTN: Ms. Holly Danner, 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue, SE, MS-2050, Washington Navy Yard, DC 20376-2050, holly.danner@navy.mil. Telephonic responses are not acceptable. Any information submitted as a result of this sources sought is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Response to this notice is not a request to be added to a bidders list or to receive a copy of a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought and no telephone calls or emails will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately via the Navy Exchange Commerce Online (NECO) and the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) websites and interested parties would be required to respond to that solicitation announcement.
