- REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Exhaust Ventilation The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is a Federally Funded Vocational and Educational Training Program that services youth between the ages of 16 and 24 in a residential setting. The program operates year round with approximately 200 residential and 100 non-residential trainees. The program is operated by ResCare, Inc. for the United States Department of Labor. The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is soliciting bids for Exhaust ventilation repair for janitor closet. All interested bidders need to develop and submit a Design Build Scope of Work, including specifications and a fully broken down cost proposal showing both construction costs and design (A/E) fees. DESIGN BUILD SCOPE OF WORK Provide a 100 CFM ceiling exhaust fan with integral back draft damper and 25LF PF 6" diameter duct. Extend the duct through exterior wall and provide appropriate wall cap. Energize from the lighting circuit, using the existing switch and 15LF of 3#12 in ½' EMT. Provide for drywall repair if necessary All interested bidders must attend a walk thru on Friday 25, 2010 at 3pm REQUIREMENTS •· Must be in compliance with all Local, State and Federal Guidelines and Regulations •· Work to be accomplished in safe and efficient manner with minimal or no disruption or endangerment to trainees and / or staff. •· Must provide a copy of current licensure and insurance LENGTH OF AGREEMENT Contractor must provide scope of work and time frame in which work is to be completed. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ACCEPTANCE •· Contractor must acknowledge by signature that they meet all Federal, State, Local and OSHA regulations and that all specifications terms and conditions set forth are acceptable. •· Bidders must submit their proposal in a sealed envelope by 5 p.m. close of business on Friday July 30, 2010 to the attention of Vivian Lopez, Purchasing Agent. all bidder must attend a walk thru on Thursday July 23, 2010 The following documents Davis Bacon Act (40 U 27a Attachment B), Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities Pursuant to FAR 52.222-21 (Attachment C), Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Requirement Pursuant to FAR 52.222-26 and FAR 52.222-27, FAR 52.252-2, 52.204-1, 52.215-19, PRC 4121 and 4170 will be incorporated and made part of agreement.
