- This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to modify a firm-fixed price task order to extend the period of performance for architect-engineering services necessary for the Replacement of critical mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems servicng Buildings 1, 4 and 34 at the Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory, Athens, GA in the total amount of $14,351. This task order was awarded against an existing indefinite quantity contract for A-E services. The contract was competed in accordance with the Brooks Act and FAR 36.6 Architectural and Engineering (A-E) Services. The selection of Toland Mizell Architects, Inc. was based upon criteria which included the following: overall technical expertise, specialized technical knowledge, specialized knowledge of the location where the work will be performed, and an internal analysis of cost. These additional construction services arouse under performance of the current task order and have been deemed necessary and within scope of the original contract. This opportunity is available only under Task Order No. AG-3K15-D-10-0002. This modification will be awarded to Toland & Mizell Architects, Inc., 600 Means Street, NW, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30318.
