- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Cincinnati, OH has a requirement for access to the Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) Program, issuing a purchase order to the state of Texas, Department of State Health Services. The ABLES program is a state-based surveillance program of laboratory-reported adult blood lead levels. The public health objective of the ABLES program is to reduce the rate of adults (age 16 or older) who have elevated blood lead levels. The ABLES program's objective is to build state capacity to initiate or improve adult blood lead surveillance programs which accurately measure trends in adult blood lead levels and which can effectively intervene to prevent lead over-exposures. The CDC intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13. This is the only notification that will be posted. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice, their written item description/item characteristics and pricing information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages.
