Description
This is a drawing of the dimensions for the items described in this notice. The Electronic Design and Development Flight, 46th Range Group, is requesting information regarding telemetry transmitters that meet the following specifications. 46 TSS/TSDE intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5 for limited initial quantities for evaluation (1 to 5 units) with annual procurement varying between 25 and 200 units. The requirements are: Output Characteristics Power Output: Variable: 10mW to 5W Frequency Range: 2200.5 - 2290.5 MHz Frequency Selection: 1.0 MHz steps over frequency range Frequency Stability: IAW IRIG-106-09 Output Impedance: 50Ω, ±10% Output Load: Infinite VSWR Protection Power Requirements Voltage: +6.0 to +32.0 VDC Current: 1000 mA (max) Reverse Polarity Protection: Required Over Voltage Protection: +36.0 VDC Grounding: Power and modulation input returns common to case and I/O connector ground pin(s) Modulation Types: Advanced Range Telemetry (ARTM) Tier 0: PCM/FM ARTM Tier I: SOQPSK-TG ARTM Tier II: CPM Characteristics of each type: IAW IRIG 106-09 Data Rate: Dynamic, automatic adaptation: 0.5 Mbps to 10 Mbps (ARTM Tier 0 PCM/FM) 1 Mbps to 20 Mbps (ARTM Tier I SOQPSK-TG) 5 Mbps to 20 Mbps (ARTM Tier II CPM) Modulation Inputs Data: LVTTL Clock: LVTTL, synchronous with data Configuration, Command and Control Interface The transmitter shall be commanded and configured via a serial communications port IAW Telemetry Transmitter Command and Control Protocol, Appendix N of IRIG 106-09. The basic command set and functions shall be implemented as a minimum and the extended command set shall be implemented where applicable. The voltage levels for this interface shall deviate from IRIG106-09 to be defined as LVTTL, with 0 volts representing logic "0" and 3.3 volts representing logic "1". The telemetry transmitter shall store 8 user programmable preset configurations. Each preset configuration shall define the complete operational state of the transmitter, storing values for all user programmable settings available in the transmitter. Preset configurations shall be selected with 3 LVTTL discrete inputs. Environmental Temperature Non-Operating: -55 °C to +100 °C Operating: -40 °C to +70 °C Vibration Random: 10 Hz to 2 KHz, 15 G rms, 3 axes Sine: 20 Hz to 2 KHz, 20 G peak, 3 axes Shock: 150G, 11msec, ½ sine, 3 axes Acceleration: 150G, 3 axes Altitude: TBD Humidity: 95% RH EMI: MIL-STD 461 for Power, IRIG-106-09 for Antenna Conducted Weight Weight: 2.9 ± 0.1 Ounces GPS Notch (Band-Stop) Filter Center of Notch: 1575.42 MHz (L1) Bandwidth: ± 15 MHZ at L1 The GPS notch filter must reject at least 50dB at 1575.42 ± 1 MHz and at least 30dB over the rest of the required GPS bandwidth, independent of the transmitted frequency. Antennae Transmitter will be used with: Haigh-Farr, Inc. 3375 3000-1 8310 3106-ELS AeroAntenna Technology, Inc. AT575 Interface and RF Connectors I/O and power: 2.0" on TBD connector RF Output: 2.75" long coax with Microdot 141-0000-001 connector Equipment Frequency Allocation To allow procurement of evaluation units the vendor must provide the J/F-12 number or a completed Stage 4 DD-1494 for use on DoD and DoE Test and Training Ranges in the United States and its possessions. Any future, follow-on procurement will require the completed J/F-12 certification. Miscellaneous Transmitters must be a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product NOT a development item. Vendor must provide full documentation, i.e. environmental qualification reports, performance test reports, interface control specifications and graphs of spectral output showing spurious output performance and specifically performance of the GPS notch filter. Acceptance testing will be performed. Dimensions See attached dimension drawings, all dimensions are in inches. 2. Additional information may be obtained from Mr. Karl Simon, 46 TSS/TSDE, (850) 882-3272. 3. The information provided herein for inclusion in this proposed request for information has been reviewed and is technically accurate, unclassified, and suitable for public release.
