- This project includes design/build services to replace windows in building 220. Work involves removing existing steel framed windows and replacing them with new aluminum framed energy efficient window. Windows are located on various building sides and on different floor elevations. The contractor shall match the type of windows used on previous window projects. The project includes concrete repair and modifications to building window openings as necessary for the new window system. The contractor will need to temporarily relocate some interior equipment and materials to gain access to the windows, must protect the building interior when the windows are removed, and minimize disruption to the manufacturing operations. The base bid includes replacement of approximately 11,300 square feet of window area with an option for an additional 5,800 square feet of window area. units. Estimated solicitation issue date is August 4, 2010. The rough order of magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Award will be firm fixed priced. Drawings for this procurement will be made available upon request after the solicitation has been posted to the web by contacting the point of contact as listed in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Because of this, the Government is under n o obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
