- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) seeks to obtain market research information from sources capable of fully satisfying information contained herein. NSWCDD seeks a vendor to provide analysis and repair of various electronic assemblies for the Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) systems in support of Combat Direction Systems Activity, Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Tasking is further delineated in the Draft Statement of Work and Draft Repair List attached to this Source Sought Notice. The immediate objective is to survey and assess interest from small businesses capable and interested in participating in this effort. It is anticipated that the Government will set aside this requirement for small businesses, if solicited. Capability statements are requested to determine if a further set-aside can be made. Small businesses capable of fully satisfying the requirements described above and outlined in the attachments should submit capability statements/expressions of interest providing the Government the necessary information to determine actual capability. Capability statements shall not exceed ten pages and shall include the following items: (1) Identification of company or organization; (2) A complete description of the offeror's capabilities, related experience, facilities, techniques or unique combinations of these factors that clearly relate to the Government's specific needs for this requirement; (3) Business/contracts/marketing office point(s) of contact; (4) Notification of business size and/or special status; and (5) Any additional information that may be useful to the successful procurement of the requirements, if solicited. Capability statements shall adhere to a five (5) page submission limit, plus any commercial marketing information, brochures, or web links. All information should be submitted to Attention Code CXS115; email address is kristy.himes@navy.mil, reference number N00178-10-Q-1914. The submission date for capability statements is on or before 30 July 2010. Questions regarding this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than 12PM on 26 July 2010. This market research announcement is not considered a commitment of any kind by the Government and individual correspondence should not be expected in advance of any resulting pre-solicitation notice for the proposed requirements.
