- Technical Data for the MGPTS Bags End-pole bag Mid-tent bag Mid-pole bag End-tent bag This document is to be completed by the offeror. An oral request for quotations will be solicited for the following four items as a single small purchase: End-tent bag, NSN: 8340-01-477-9561, Quantity: 365 each; Mid-pole bag, NSN: 8340-01-477-9562, Quantity: 220 each; Mid-tent bag, NSN: 8340-01-477-9563, Quantity: 195 each; End-pole bag, NSN: 8340-01-477-9564, Quantity: 105 each. Two deliveries are expected, required delivery beginning one hundred twenty (120) days after date of award and the second delivery thirty (30) days thereafter. This solicitation will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The destinations for subject items are Defense Depot New Cumberland, PA and Defense Depot Barstow, CA. Submittal of First Article is required sixty (60) days after date of award. Specifications, or other applicable documents, can be obtained by contacting Brian McGinley by email at Brian.McGinley@dla.mil. Quotes are due on or before 3:00 PM Eastern Time on August 4, 2010 and are to be sent to Brian McGinley. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. DFARS clause 252.211-7006 "Radio Frequency Identification" applies to this solicitation. DFARS clause 252.225-7001 "Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program" applies to the solicitation. The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
