- Description
- The 436th Conracting Squadron, Dover AFB, DE intends to award a sole source purchase order to Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, LLC, for the required servicing of an existing XRF lead based paint analyzer: Unit #11994, XLp300A, RA#R2490. The current XRF lead based paint analyzer employed by Dover AFB is a proprietary product of Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, LLC. Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzer, LLC, has proprietary rights to all maintenance and specifications for this existing system. Manufacturer: Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, LLC. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for Competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 23 July 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated award date is 30 July 2010. Second level and third level support and factory support are only available from Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, LLC. Certified Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, LLC parts are only available from Thermo Scientific. In order to meet mission requirements, the 436 CES requires the servicing of the XRF lead based paint analyzer to ensure safety of personal.
