- Description
- Western Area Power Administration (Western) requires miscellaneousfacility construction and incidental design for its Rocky Mountain Region (RMR), headquartered at 5555 East Crossroads Boulevard, Loveland, Colorado. This will be a firm-fixed priced indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The construction will be performed throughout RMRs facilities located predominantly in the states of Colorado and Wyoming, but may also include work in Nebraska, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, and Arizona. Facility construction associated with this contract may include, but is not limited to, work in the following categories: building renovations and repairs, mechanical installations and controls, drywall construction, roofing, heating and ventilation, electrical, architectural finishes and painting, building fire suppression systems, fire alarm installation and maintenance, concrete construction, roofing, asphalt paving, lighting, fencing, moving services, and other related services. There will not be any high voltage electrical work accomplished under this contract. The period of performance is for a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The minimum guarantee is $15,000. The contract ceiling is $5 million. The estimated order of magnitude of the first task to be awarded with the initial contract award is between $25,000 and $100,000. Subsequent task orders will vary in size and complexity. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications of the contract and specifications and drawings for each task order. This is a Competitive 8(a) procurement limited to qualified/eligible 8(a) firms located within the geographical area of Colorado and Wyoming and serviced by the Colorado and/or Wyoming District Offices, and 8(a) construction firms with a bona fide place of business within the geographical competitive area and the assigned NAICS code. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million. It is anticipated that a multiple award contract will result from the solicitation. The successful contractor(s) will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 4 Aug 2010, on the Department of Energys e-center https://e-center.doe.gov/ and Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) https://www.fbo.gov/ web page. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Effective 01 Jan, 2005, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires the use of Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as part of the proposal submission process.
