- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc., dba AMETEK, 801 S. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37831-9101, for the following line items: 1) M-Series GEM Coaxial P-type HPGe Gamma-Ray Detector (Normal Relative Efficiency 175%) in Reduced Background PopTop Capsule with Carbon Filter Endcap and SMART-1 Option; 2) MODEL #CFG-X-Cool-II-115, X-COOLER II - Electromechanical Cooler with Pop Top; 3) MODEL #CRYOSECURE, Programmable Compressor Power Controller; 4) MODEL #X-COOL-STAND, Omni Directional Cold Head Stand; 5) MODEL #HPLBS1, Vertical Lead Shield; 6) MODEL #DSPEC-jr-2, Digital Gamma Spectrometer with MAESTRO-32 software; No DIM for use with SMART-1 equipped detector; 7) MODEL #A66-B32, GammaVision-32 software for HPGe Spectral Analysis; 8) MODEL #PC-2, Medium Business Personal Computer. Dell Minitower or equivalent with Pentium Core 2 Duo Processor; 2.33 GHz; 1GB; 19" LCD Monitor; 250 GB Hard Drive, Window XP Professional or VISTA; Office 2007 Professional; 9) MODEL #PC-PRT-2 HP Laserjet P2550d; HP Laser Jet External Printer Server; 250-Sheet input tray; 1200x1200 dpi; prints up to 35 ppm; USB connectivity; 10) MODEL #TSG-Support, Installation and Training; 11) Shipping; and 12) Extended Warranty after the first year. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR A COMMERCIAL ITEM PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE SOLICITATION; A SEPERATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy the Agency's requirements. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
