- Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) located at Naval Air Station, Patuxent River requires additional non-commercial services maintenance support under contract N00421-08-C-0065 awarded to Northrop Grumman Technical Services, Inc. 2411 Dulles Corner Park #500, Herndon, VA. The additional services will be acquired on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and system integrator of the C-2A, E-2C, and E-2D aircraft and has sole proprietary ownership of the technical and engineering data ncessary to sustain and modify these test aircraft. The C-2 and E-2 aircraft at VX-20 constitute limited numbers of highly specialized and uniquely configured test beds in a constant state of evolution, are highly instumented, and are used primarily for the purpose of developmental testing, experimentation and technology demonstrations. This procurement will provide for additional maintenance support of these aircraft to meet new critical immediate and long-term preventative maintenance inspection schedules and aircraft modifications. An estimated 20,000 man-hours of maintenance support is required for each of the remaining contract option years II-IV (Periods of Performance: Option II-1 August 2010-31 July 2011/Option III-1 August 2011-31 July 2012/Option IV-1 August 2012-31 July 2013) for a total of 60,000 man-hours.
