- The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotes from firms having the capability to provide the item(s) listed below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Trash Compactor, 1 Each, shall meet or exceed the following specifications:BODY SPECIFICATIONS: Total length - 116'; Total width - 70'; Total height above frame (body height) - 63'; Loading area (sill) width - 31'; Loading area (sill) height above frame - 25'; Empty body weight - 2300 lbs; Body size - 6 cu. yd.; Fillable body capacity - 4 cu. yd.; Practical fillable loading area - 2 cu. yd.; manual rear doors; horizontal push load ejection; body can be loaded from both sides; 11 gauge body and hopper thickness; Meets all ANSI Z245.1 safety standardsHYDRAULIC SPECIFICATIONS: System Working pressure - 1,500 PSI max; Standard oil flow - 12 GPM; Standard operating pump RPM - 1000; Reservoir capacity - 12 gal.; Standard loading area cycle time: 15 seconds; Two 2 ' packing/ejection cylinders; Return filter - 10 micron returnCHASSIS REQUIREMENTS: 60' minimum useable cab-to-axle length; 10,000 lbs GVWR minimum, for estimated payloadOPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: Strobe light or rotating beaconContractor shall provide all materials, supplies, equipment and labor necessary to remove existing trash compactor from a 2004 Chevy 3500 model truck and install a new trash compactor. NPS will deliver the truck to the contractor's location and pick up when the conversion is completed. Contractor shall be able to perform the conversion within 150 miles of Hot Springs National Park, Hot Springs, AR. Contractor will be responsible for the disposal of the old trash compactor.
