- (c)The APEX program is a two-part program that combines an intensive mental skills education and training workshop with an experiential learning activity. The two are inextricably linked as a developmental tool within the DAU Fellowship curriculum. In addition to teaching and developing these five critical mental skills for peak performance, APEX has incorporated the teachings into a Gettysburg Leadership Experience, historically know as a 'staff ride', in a way that blends history, leadership, and mental strength. The 2-day experience has been uniquely developed by APEX in a way that enhances our DAU Fellowship students' ability to apply the lessons learned from the Battle of Gettysburg to the development of their own leadership capabilities. Not only do they address key leadership lessons learned but also the key mental and emotional factors that directly led to leader success or failure on both sides. With the preparation the students receive in the APEX Peak Performance Mental Skills workshop prior to the Gettysburg experience, they are well armed to address these elements of the battle as they walk the battlefield. There are no other known vendors that conducts similar two part programs.
