- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) of 2009; interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201; however, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. The Custer National Forest is contracting for an historical overview and context narrative for the West Fork of Rock Creek (WFRC) drainage that describes the history of the WFRC drainage, including associated activities and recorded sites located along the route. The location of these activities and their function will be evaluated in context of the type of activity, the physical remains of such activity, and its relative significance within the history of the Beartooth District and the Custer National Forest. The study will also include, but not limited to, recreation, mining, and timber activities and the relative importance of these sites in the WFRC road corridor, the town of Red Lodge, and other developed transportation corridors along Beartooth Front with the Beartooth District. Contractor must meet the Secretary of interior Standards for historians, architectural historians, or historic architects. The Request for Quotations is 100 percent set-aside for small businesses. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit. The period of performance will start upon award of the contract and work shall be completed within 60 days. Location of the project is at the Custer National Forest. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render a bidder ineligible for award.
