- On or about 16 July 2010, this office will issue a Request for Quote for the upgrade and replacement of the shaft crane motors at the Main Control Shaft Building at the Fort Peck Project in Fort Peck, MT. The solicitation will close on or about 16 August 2010. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESSES. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contract Shelby Whitmer at (406) 526-3431. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: Upgrade hoist motors on (4) four bridge cranes at the Main Control Shaft Buildings at the Fort Peck Project in Fort Peck, MT. Main and auxiliary hoist motors shall be replaced including encoders and braking mechanisms. The variable frequency drives shall be reprogrammed to the new motors. Following completion of installation and crane inspection a full operational test will be performed and an OSHA load test at minimum 100% of rated capacity. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
