- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Eurofins MWG/Operon in Huntsville, Alabama for Transcriptome Sequencing of two frog species, including, Assembly of two species, and annotation of two species, which are to be delivered to Leetown Science Center in Kearneysville, WV by September 16, 2010. Eurofins MWG/Operon is the only company that performs the complete process of creating the normalized libraries, sequencing the transcriptome using GS-FLX Titanium 454 technology, and assembling and annotating the transcriptome. Eurofins uses a unique, specialized method for developing a normalized library that greatly facilitates the identification and sequencing of full length and rare transcripts. Other sequencing companies use the standard Roche assembler program for assembling the sequence reads obtained from the 454 sequencing; Eurofins MWG/Operon has developed their own proprietary assembly process that provides better final sequence. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
