- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Menlo Park, CA, has a requirement for services to be provided for the Research Vessel Polaris to install watertight membrane on fore-deck and side-decks, approximately 460 sq ft total area; decks are original 1927 teak planks with caulking. Homeport: Port of Redwood City, CA. Vessel cannot transit beyond San Francisco Bay - Sacramento River Delta. A fixed price type purchase order is contemplated for this requirement. Competitive procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, will be utilized. This competition is a small business set-aside under the NAICS code 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, with a size standard of 1000 Employees. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) 10WRQQ0247, will be issued and posted to this site on or about July 22, 2010 with proposals due on or about Aug 19. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
