- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for a project entitled "HVAC System for Bldg 47" at the USDA, ARS, MSA, Research Center, Stoneville, Mississippi location. The work to be done includes but is not limited to; furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work for removal of existing HVAC equipment and installation of new HVAC equipment to provide a single pass heat and air conditioning system in two wings of Building 47, in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings for "HVAC System for Bldg 47" at Stoneville, Mississippi. The period of performance is estimated to be 120 consecutive calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS Code is 238220, with a size standard of $14.0 million. The project is set aside for small business. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-10-0016 is scheduled for release on or about August 2, 2010; interested contractors are to go to web site: www.fbo.gov to submit their requests for a bid package. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for August 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. central time. Bids will be due by 2:00 p.m. CST on September 1, 2010. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR).
