- Description
- The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of the commercial software application, SAP Business One. In addition to providing the software, the Vendor shall perform the following services: develop a phased implementation plan; customize SAP Business One to meet the SLSDC's accounting and reporting requirements; installation; data conversion; testing; training; and software support. The new software will replace the current financial management system (FMS) modules which are based in FoxPro Version 2.6 for DOS and are not part of the Department of Transportation consolidated financial system. The current FMS is functional and consists of many applications that run in the background of a Windows environment. The system is not made of relational databases. The functions or modules that are required as part of the new software are 1) Financial management/accounting; 2) Budgeting; 3) Contracting and Procurement; 4) Warehouse and Inventory (including bar coding); and 5) Reporting (both canned and customized). No hosting services will be needed as the SLSDC will be hosting the application on its internal servers. The SLSDC intends to award a firm-fixed price contract prior to September 30, 2010, to the offeror who provides the best value to the SLSDC based on price, past performance, and technical approach. NAICS code: 541512. The RFP and attachments will be available on the FedBizOpps website on or about August 3, 2010 with a response date of September 7, 2010. Oral presentations may be conducted after receipt of proposals. The hard copies of the RFP may be requested by email to patricia.white@dot.gov. This is a small business set-aside procurement. All responsible, small business sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the SLSDC.
