Description
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is conducting MARKET RESEARCH to determine the availability of Offerors capable of providing supplies and/or performing the services cited herein. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e) this notice serves ONLY as a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). This request does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, a Request for Quotations, or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained in the RFI. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested in this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. The Government will not request additional information or discuss submissions received in response to this RFI with individual responders. NARA serves American democracy by safeguarding and preserving the records of the United States Government, ensuring that the people can discover, use, and learn from this documentary heritage. NARA ensures continuing access to the essential documentation of the rights of American citizens and the actions of their government. NARA supports democracy, promotes civic education, and facilitates the historical understanding of the national experience. NARA supports lifecycle management of records in all three branches of the Federal Government and provides sustained access to historically valuable records in the National Archives and the Presidential Libraries. Should NARA utilize contractor services, the primary objectives of the products and/or services provided would be as follows: Debit Card Kiosks 1. 3 to 5 debit card kiosks. Kiosks may need to be free standing or placed within a limited space area. 2. It would be preferred if there are multiple dimensions of kiosks available. 3. Locations for debit card kiosks include: Washington DC and College Park, MD 4. Quick turnaround on maintenance and parts, including email, phone and on-site support as needed. This would be within 24 hours in most cases. 5. Would need to be able to produce usage reports and interface effectively with our accounting system. The current accounting system is Microsoft Great Plains 6. Software and firmware upgrades as needed. 7. Kiosks will need to accept credit cards and currency. 8. A receipt printer would be preferred. 9. Contract length - 1 year, 4 options. 10. A touch-screen interface would be nice but not mandatory. 11. Customizable interfaces with headers and branding. 12. Interfaces should display balances, charges, and instructions for use. 13. Needs to be able to hold at least 300 bills. 14. Card dispenser must hold at least 100 cards. Card Readers 1. Card readers for a fleet of 35-45 copiers plus 10-20 additional machines. The additional machines will be Konica Minolta read printers, in most cases. 2. Locations for card readers include: Washington DC, College Park, MD, and possibly Suitland, MD 3. Quick turnaround on maintenance and parts, including email, phone and on-site support as needed. This would be within 24 hours in most cases. 4. Needs to be compatible with a wide array of customer-use products (i.e., copiers, book scanners, photo makers, microfilm scanners). 5. Needs to be compatible with most manufacturers (Canon, Konica, Xerox, etc.). 6. Would need to be able to produce usage reports and interface effectively with our accounting system. The current accounting system is Microsoft Great Plains 7. Software and firmware upgrades as needed. 8. A receipt printer would be preferred. 9. Contract length - 1 year, 4 options. 10. Response Instructions: It is preferred that responses be in Microsoft Word format. Page size should be 8.5 inches x 11 inches, font should be 12 point or larger, and margins should be at least 1 inch. Please provide as much information as possible relating to the following items: 1. Company name, address, phone/fax number, primary contact(s), web address, and email address. 2. Description of your company, your products and services, history, ownership, and other information you deem relevant. 3. Detailed information supporting capabilities and qualifications to provide the required products and services. 4. Any other pertinent information which would enable the Government to assess the firm's capabilities. 5. Specific relevant contracts being performed or completed within the past 5 years; detailed description of the work; explanation of how work relates to NARA's requirement (experience performing similar work for other customers); number of employees working on contract; annual and total dollar value of contracts; contract numbers; and points of contact and phone number. Please indicate if you were a prime Contractor or subcontractor. 6. Any relevant industry perspective that might assist the Government with acquisition and management of these products/services including contract type, contracting vehicles (FSS, GWAC, etc), pricing methodologies/structure, etc. 7. Feedback on the potential requirement, specifically provide comments on the viability of the requirement. Identify possible constraints or potential risks. 8.
