- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is requesting quotations from contractors to provide: MDI Support and Maintenance. The BEP request direct access via both the telephone and email to Monitor Dynamic Inc technical analysis for problem resolution, bug reporting and technical guidance. MDI problem resolution assistance shall include: - Diagnostic information review(s) to help isolate the cause of a problem - Prioritization of problems based on problem severity - Defect resolution - Installation issues/questions - Usage (How To questions) - Specific usage/installation questions for documented functions - Product compatibility and interoperability questions - Software patches, upgrade and fixes Technical Support shall answer product specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of currently supported MDI software. MDI shall provide a 2 hour response time on Severity 1 and 2 issues and a 12 hour response time for Severity 3 and 4 issues. A. Severity 1 - The problem causes complete loss of service. Work cannot reasonably continue, the operation is mission critical to the business and the situation is an emergency. A Severity 1 problem has one or more of the following characteristics: - Data corrupted - A critical function is not available - System hangs indefinitely, causing unacceptable or indefinite delays for resources or response - System crashes, and crashes repeatedly after restart attempts MDI shall work with the BEP to resolve - Severity 1 problems until the issue is resolved or as long as useful progress can be made - Severity 2 the problem causes a severe loss of service. No acceptable workaround is available; however, operation can continue in restricted fashion. - Severity 3 the problem causes minor loss of service. The impact s an inconvenience, which may require a workaround to restore functionality. - Severity 4 the problem causes no loss of service. The result is a minor error, incorrect behavior, or a documentation error that does not impede the operation of a system. Visitor Management Module for MDI - Safenet System....qty 6 Drivers License Scanner/ScanShell 1000 w/MagShell 900...qty 6This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore a written request will not be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-10-0020. CLAUSES: The following FAR provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-2 (Fill Best High Technically Acceptable/Low Price, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5, FAR 52.219-6, FAR 52.222-21 & FAR 52.222-26. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Loading Dock, D Street between 13th and 14th Street S.W. In order to compete, interested parties must submit a quote by 3:00 pm EST on July 21, 2010 via fax at (202) 874-3135 or e-mail at yvette.anderson@bep.gov. Quotations may be submitted on a 1449 or company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, proposed unit price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). The source selection will be based on price. Interested offerors are encouraged to register at FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov ) for electronic notification of issuance of any amendments or changes to this notice.
