- Project Scope: Expand rotary wing parking capacity at FOB Sharana by adding 20 additional aircraft parking spaces. This project also includes lighting, markings, tie-downs, and grounding points. All parking spaces will be designed to support, at the minimum, a CH-47 helicopter. Supporting Facilities include electrical systems, drainage, and site improvements. The magnitude of this construction project is between $10,000,000.00 and $50,000,000.00 USD. The expected contract duration is three hundred and sixty (360) calendar days. Plans and Specifications: This is planned to be posted electronically only to FEDBIZOPPS. Contracting Procedures: The solicitation will be a request for proposal (RFP). Source selection will be made by accepting the lowest priced technically acceptable (LPTA) offer. Both non-pricing (technical) and price proposals are required. The evaluation factors with their significance and weight will be provided in the RFP. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis. Acquisition Time Line: Tentative date for issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) number W912ER-10-R-0061 is 30 July 2010. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is 30 August 2010. A pre proposal conference/site will be tentatively scheduled for 9 August 2010. Tentative date to award the contract is 28 September 2010.
