- Description
- Independence National Historical Park will be issuing a solicitation on or about August 4, 2010 for the widening of the Gloria Dei National Historic Site (GLDE) driveway. Work consists of modification of a driveway entrance in accordance with the specifications and project drawings. Contractor will dismantle and move the north pier of driveway entrance, dismantle wall section and remove for the widening of the driveway. Archeological monitoring will need to be done on all sub-surface work. Contractor shall provide a new foundation for the relocated pier, matching existing foundation construction. Use existing grade beam and add spread footer. The north pier shall be rebuilt on new foundation and shall match existing construction and appearance. The unpaved driveway shall be widened and regarded. Metal gates shall be removed and remodeled for use in wider drive opening. They shall match design and material of existing gates. The completion date will be 80 days from issuance of notice to proceed. Magnitude of project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
